What motivates someone to become a hair stylist?

Vincent Michael Newlan became inspired in high school after seeing the movie Shampoo with Warren Beatty. From humble beginnings at 19 years old as a “shampoo boy” to “Artistic Director” at the world famous Bruno and Soonie Salon in Beverly Hills, Vince has had the pleasure of working on a variety of “A list” celebrities. In addition to the teachings of Bruno Meglio and Soonie Paik, Vince also studied with great masters in Europe and has received training at Vidal Sassoon of London. Over the past 14 years, he has returned to its Advanced Academy several times. You can also find Vince once a month (the first Saturday of each month) at Giuseppe Franco Salon in Beverly Hills, where his serves his LA based clients, some of which have been coming to Vince for over 20 years.

As a salon owner, Vince is able to pursue his passion for teaching. He personally trains each and every one of his staff with the finest techniques in hair and customer service. By doing this he ensures that each of client’s individual needs are met; whether it’s with a hand crafted espresso drink, the latest fashion magazine, contemporary music, or just some friendly conversation.
